Get to four by Chris

Thanks everybody. The last seven years have been more awesomer than anything. I will truly miss creating and performing with four of the best people I could ever hope to work with. I wish them all the luck and success in the world. The Good Ship Up-C may have lost a sail, but she will soldier on through stormy seas. And I’ll be following along in a little rubber dinghy on me tod.

Enough gayness, peace out. See you at the next gig.

PS. Many, many thanks to Smoke & Ashes and Cups On Strings for their parts in a memorable evening.

Loud noises! by Chris

You might have noticed that we’re now no longer going to be playing at the Electric Gardens festival. This is because the obviously open-minded and knowledgable promoter has deemed us “too heavy metal” for his festival; apparently loud guitars jar with the rest of his line-up. God forbid anyone gets exposed to some fucking variety, eh? Round of applause, please. Rest assured, your delicate souls are now safe from our offensive devil music.

Film by Chris

Went to see homo-erotic musclebound swordfest 300 last night, and it made me feel ultra manly and lust for blood. Seriously though, it’s an amazing film. As if you needed me to tell you that. What other films have I seen lately that are good? I seem to just keep watching the same ones over and over again, but it’s not my fault ITV2 shows Shaun of the Dead every night like it’s the only reel of film they’ve got in the cupboard.

Looking forward to Grindhouse though – specifically Planet Terror; you can’t go wrong with a movie that features a girl with a machine gun for a leg.

Elsewhere, I’m currently trying to wrap my brain around the new Battles album that I stole off the internet. DON’T WORRY I’LL BUY IT WHEN IT COMES OUT. The We Are Carnivores album Chris got me for my birthday is good for some shouty fun as well.

More pop whining by Chris

How come we’ve still got to suffer Avril Lavigne’s teenage wangst shit after all this time? Isn’t she about 42 now? Say what you like about Billie, but at least she got the message after her first album.

Lily Allen by Chris

I’d like to congratulate Lily Allen on successfully covering Mr. Blobby whilst convincing scenester idiots that she’s still cool. That really takes some doing. Let’s all give her a clap.
